Apple Meat Loaf Recipe

A sweet adaptation to the classic meat loaf recipe, just by adding applesauce and a little brown sugar.

Ingredients:

1 cup Soft Breadcrumbs

1/2 cup Applesauce

1 lb. Ground Beef

1 Egg, slightly beaten

1/4 cup Celery, finely chopped

2 Tbsp. Onion, finely chopped

1 tsp. Dijon-style Mustard

1/2 tsp. Salt

Dash Pepper

1/2 cup Applesauce

1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar

1 1/2 tsp. Vinegar

1/2 tsp. Dijon-style Mustard

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Directions:

Combine soft breadcrumbs (about 1 1/2 slices) and applesauce. Add the ground beef, egg, celery, onion, Dijon-style mustard, salt, and pepper; blending thoroughly.  Shape into a round loaf in an 8x8x2” baking pan.

With a spoon, make a crater-like depression in top of loaf.  Combine applesauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and Dijon-style mustard; and pour into the  depression. Bake for 1 hour.

And Enjoy!
