Ham Loaf Recipe
A slight variation on a great classic comfort dish, topped with a sweet sauce.
Ingredients:
2 cups Ground Cooked Ham
1 1/2 lbs. Ground Pork
1 cup fine Dry Bread Crumbs
1 Tbsp. prepared Mustard
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
2 Eggs, beaten
1 cup Milk
Sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup raisins
2 Tbsp. Vinegar
1 Tbsp. Butter
3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. Salt
Pepper
Cloves
Mace
1/2 cup Cranberry Jelly
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Have ready a 9x5x3” loaf pan.
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and pack in loaf pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours.
Raisin Sauce
Simmer brown sugar, water, and raisins for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and heat gently until jelly melts.
Cut the ham loaf in thick slices and serve with Raisin Sauce.
