Turkey Loaf Recipe

If you’re a turkey burger fan, this is the meat loaf recipe for you.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs. Ground Turkey

1/2 cup Yellow Onion, chopped

1/2 cup Plain Bread Crumbs

1/4 cup Red or Green Bell Pepper, chopped

1/4 cup Celery, chopped

1/4 cup Ketchup

1 large Egg

2 tsp. Garlic, minced

1/2 tsp. Salt

1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper

Position oven rack in center of the oven and set temperature to 375 degrees F.

Directions:

Place the turkey in a large mixing bowl.  Add the rest of the ingredients, only using 1 Tbsp. of the ketchup, and mix with your hands until they are well incorporated.

Transfer the turkey mixture to a 1 lb. loaf pan and use your hands to form it into a loaf shape.  Make sure to wash your hands with warm, soapy water after this step.

Pour the remaining 3 Tbsp. of ketchup on top of the turkey loaf and smear evenly with the back of a spoon.

Bake until brown on top, cooked through, (meat thermometer should read 160 degrees F), about 45 to 50 minutes.

Remove from oven, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

And Enjoy!
